Mr. David E. Carmony B.S. and M.A. in Music Education Teacher of General and Instrumental Music at elementary, middle school and high school levels, primarily in band programs. Earl Dunn, Ball State University, University of Alabama Erwin Mueller, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Ed Metzinger, Chicago Symphony Donald Neuen, Atlanta Symphony and Robert Shaw Choral, UCLA George Corwin, Eastman School of Music. Miriam Bryant

Ms. Miriam's Music offers violin and piano lessons individualized to student goals. Ms. Miriam joined the teaching staff at Buchanan's Music in November 2013 and currently teaches at the store location every Tuesday and Thursday. Ms. Miriam's schedule allows for day time and early afternoon hours to accommodate schedules of home schooled students, preschoolers, adults on lunch break and retirees. In addition to teaching at Buchanan's Music Ms. Miriam teaches out of her home studio in Pittsboro, North Carolina area. Morning, afternoon and evening slots are available Monday, Wednesday and Friday at this location. Miriam Bryant earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching degree (MAT) from UNC- Chapel Hill in 2005 and has 20 years experience with individualized instruction. Ms. Miriam holds a current North Carolina teaching license and has served 8 years as a public school certified K-12 music educator teaching strings, chorus, music theory and general music at all grade levels from preschool through high school. As a private teacher Ms. Miriam has been able to share her love of music with students from preschool through all ages of adults. Ms. Miriam maintains membership in several professional organizations including the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), The North Carolina Educators Association, The American Orff-Schulwerk Association and The Central Carolina Chapter of American Orff-Schulwerk Association Presently, Ms. Miriam performs with the Lee County Community Orchestra as principal second violinist.
